• Responsible for management, maintenance, and control of electronic scanning systems. Ensures that all equipment is accounted for daily. Review and resolve shipping errors and develop strategies to minimize them.
• Assist in all functions of the Distribution Center and finished goods warehouse, including load staging, truck loading, finished goods storage, generation of shipping documents, special tints, etc.
• Assisting shift lead in the managing of manpower and delegating work to employees on the shift to maximize productivity.
• The Assistant Lead cooperates with other department Leadership to train and cross-train employees.
• Communicates and coordinates with other departments to complete assignments and meet objectives.
•  Utilizes 5S and Continuous Improvement methodology to identify, implement, and sustain process improvements.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Opens and closes the facility as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Assistant Lead will help manage the shift warehouse operations of the Benjamin Moore & Co. Distribution Center.

• High School degree required or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
• Requires demonstrated computer skills, a working knowledge of the (WMS) as well as an aptitude to keep current with new electronic information systems.
• Competency and confidence utilizing applicable computerized systems such as MS Office Excel, Outlook, Word, SAP.
• Good telephone and email etiquette
• Experience in a dynamic distribution environment.
• Ability to drive a forklift, Stand-Up Order Picker, Dock Stocker, Reach Truck and Walkie Rider.
• Ability to travel to U.S. and other Canadian facilities for training, as needed.

• Frequent sitting, standing, bending/twisting of neck and waist, squatting and kneeling
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects from floor, conveyor, vehicle, table, or overhead location
• Constant standing (6-8+ hours)
• Frequent lifting of 10-75 lbs. (1-8+ hours) throughout shift
• Frequency of upper and lower extremity activity throughout shift:
• Constant grasping with dominate hand (6-8+ hours)
• Frequent fine hand manipulation, pushing, pulling, and reaching above and below shoulder throughout shift.
• Constant walking (6-8+ hours)
• Getting onto electric Walkie riders, forklifts, and aerial work
• Lifts 60 lbs. (27.22 Kilograms) regularly throughout shift and up to 75 lbs. (34 Kilograms) occasionally.
• Environment Factors and exposure throughout shift:
• Ability to lift 5-gallon buckets of paint (upwards of 70 lbs.)
• Ability to use Walkie Rider, Forklift trucks, Scissor Lift and other MHE
• Picking of orders is most frequent activity (upwards of 8 hours per day)
